unzip the firmware to SD card with folder. copy recovery.img (TWRP boot file) to the of your SD Card (Do not put this in a folder).
1) Insert the SD Card to BlueTV 2) Unplug the power, plug the power and keep pressing "3 bars" button on your remote while boot up. 3) If everything correct, you will see TWRP screen like this:
4) USE USB mouse to click restore 5) Click on Storage and select External SD
6)Select the image folder "2018-06-08--5.066_rooted_RSS"
6) Swipe to Restore 7) After Finish, reboot and enjoy.
For whatever reason, I don't see the firmware folder when I chose external SD storage. Any idea? My SD card root only has "2018-06-08--5.066_rooted_RSS_AdBlocked" folder and recovery.img
I think you need to put the firmware folder under the BACKUPS folder. The easiest way I found was to run a backup of your TVpad4 (which you want to do anyway), then use a computer to move the new firmware folder under that BACKUPS folder and re-run the restore.

That's because you got his latest image file. The pic is of his prior files before he consolidated and added adblock. Just flash the "2018-06-08--5.066_rooted_RSS_AdBlocked" and you're good to go.

exactly what I did and got it to work. Thanks Anway. I should have did that prior I asked but since the original instruction never mention "create a TWRP>BACKUPS>s82b" folders/sub-folders and place then unzip folders under "s82b". That's why it never found the firmware folder.
You may want to create these folders and see if it can see it.

if you do a backup the folders get created automatically. Also you have to select the external sd card if you want to backup there or if you wanted to retrieve your backups from there. By default TWRP backups to internal storage. You forgot to change network settings to DHCP on your backup.
Does it make any difference if I use an USB instead of SD card?
I've follow the steps but just couldn't get into the TWRP page. When I click on the '3 bars' button while rebooting it went into the Android system recovery page instead.

I download all your folders into SD card, and then root the BlueTV by pressing '3 bars" buttons, but it doesn't work. It looks like I have to download the firmware.
I followed the instructions and Restore Failed.. this is what I got from the screen. Can you someone help? TIA

and then click SAVE 4) now Installing has been completed. You should have the RSS ICON on your home page. 5) Just click on this symbol and you will be given my choices to view
1. You want the RSS Player "ANDROID TV" version. 2. It requires google play services (Avaialable only on 5.066 firmware) 3. Mouse is not needed for this version of RSS Player (although you'll have to hit left button more) 4. His share drive link is EMPTY!
Maybe Ray is referring to an older version of RSS Player that didn't require Google Play? or RSS Media Player?
I install RSS player to my Blue TV Box and I open the app RSS and select add new channel.
I am still use RSS player on my Blue TV box to watch without flash to new firmware.
Ray,
Your link for the file is empty, so I don't know what version of rss player you're talking about. The one we pointed out here is from the google play store. It works with the standard remote, no need for mouse. This specific rss player (android tv version) requires google play services.. Older versions of rss player that requires a mouse to navigate didn't need google play services.
