Hello, so frustrated, I am in USA. My TVpad 4 can watch all the Chinese app except the Yue TV, cannot load, mine is Yue TV 0.40, is there something wrong with my setting. PLEASE HELP. my parents need to watch Cantonese program. THANK YOU
I have some TVPad4 (M418) issues and would like the experts to help out. My family have 2 TVPad4 units. Let me start with the problem in Unit 1 which belongs to my parents.
Unit 1 all the sudden didn't work 2 days ago and then may be my parents unknowingly did a Restore or the system did it such that all apps. are erased and the unit is in factory default. I tried to install all the apps. that used to work in this unit and it turns out nothings works anymore. The firmware was version 5.054. Therefore, I followed the posts in this forum and upgraded the unit to firmware version 5.06 and OTA to 5.066 by using one of the HK DNS via Manual successfully. However, when I installed the apps. for version 5.06 from the first post, none of the apps works. Here is the summary:
1. Firmware: 5.066 2. Network Ethernet: Auto 3. Location: USA 4. Symptoms: Abnormal network or download failure (translated). None of the apps works!
Please kindly provide your helps so I can have my happy parents back !

Thanks. The connection is tethered and there is no user restrictions.
@JustPassBy When you install the apps, are you installing it manually or through the app store ?
I installed all the apps. via the USB manually. There is no app. store. Since I didn't have app. store previously and it works so I don't pay too much attention to it. I would like to get the app store back if possible.
Can someone tell me if it's possible to update tvpad4 firmware v5.036 to 5.066?And how? I've downloaded v5.060 and put it on SDcard and tried to update from tvpad v5.036,but failed.

@padman, When manually using a good HK DNS that passes the network test, I would get user restrictive but when using Auto, there is no user restriction but no app store, no commercials, and the apps unable to talk to the servers. Somehow after I upgraded to the latest firmware, this unit is black listed on the servers?

Are you trying to use yuetv or the cantonese app ?
