TVPad 4 Korean Apps
Hi Guys,
Few simple questions:
My dad seems to have erased all his apps. The factory restore option didn't seem to bring back any of the apps.
Can anyone help?
Few simple questions:
- Is TVpad 4 the same as TVBox? M418? I have this white one here:
- Where do I download the Korean TVPad4/TVBox apps?
- Will apps from APPNNN N+ Store work? APPNNN
My dad seems to have erased all his apps. The factory restore option didn't seem to bring back any of the apps.
Can anyone help?

it will be nice if someone with TvBox (tvpad4 Korean) to use android app backup program to backup the rainbow TV and upload it so that users who have reset the tvpad4 to install it (as their MAC should still be part of 3 year channel plan to be able to use it) as current app store no longer carries it due to the legal battle, very bad move by tvpad side, which I believe it's global issue.

Which VPN service are you using and what DNS IP? Does the app store work as well?

it installs fine but i can't view anything.

I think you need to set up VPN...

What part of the world are you connecting the VPN?
I'm thinking of using VPN Unlimited as suggested in other threads and it seems like HK is the place to connect to...
and i heard you can still view the live tv through rainbow app. (no vpn needed)
i guess if you install apk through usb, it needs like authentication?

Yea, I ran a test and that seems to be the issue for my test case
bboingee , through searches in other areas, authentication is done through the MAC address for the rainbow TV, since you already have TVbox which was shipped with 3 year subscription your MAC should already be authorized. it does seem TVbox had issue with rainbow tv for past few days, and seems to only work with 49.213.10.163 DNS at this moment. http://streamingtvasia.com/download-category/downloads/ link shows server status. honestly though, probably better to use VPN at this point, and best choice is to stop using tvpad they are very unreliable at this point, I've changed my tvpad2/3 to moonbox and unblock tech.

how's moonbox and unblock tech for korean shows? i found rainbow tv to be really good...
i have tvbox, which is where i got the apk from
in my test case, rainbow tv on a new install doesn't seem to be authenticating, so the confirmed dns addresses where live tv worked won't work on a new apk install
in your test case, did you use TVbox? or other android box? rainbow TV is allowed for specific MAC addresses (as one of the forum I read, one user complained stopped working they asked for MAC address) you can try this if you have rooted android iptv box you can use the tool to change the MAC address on android IP TV to match TVBOX (if you are using wired on TVBOX use MAC of wireless connection, vise servsa so that your network will not get collusion). instruction (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rzw3bJzn0M) make sure you right down current MAC to change it back later. but use it at your own risk, I haven't tested it yet so don't know how it will work.
now as far as moonbox, if you install their hidden Hongkong app called IPTV (if you have moonbox in korean it will show as ????) channels 177 to 206 is Korean channel. as far as VOD's well believe TVbox also uses moatv for that, which I installed on moonbox and use it, also uses CloudVOD for Korean Movies. haven't received ubox gen2 yet but probably will do the same. using it's own live channel app for Korean and use MoaTV and cloudVOD, would also use "All the Down blackedition V4" if I can connect mouse to it as you really can't use it without mouse and using remote control mouse is a pain.

I used a tvbox and a reinstall of the rainbow tv app + confirmed working dns addresses do not work. I plan to test VPN, which there seems to be at least one case of VPN working with the tvbox.
thanks for the info on moonbox. i find moatv to be not as good as rainbow tv, so hopefully i can get the tvbox to work...

Was this the only Korean app that comes with TVpad4 / TVBox?

I need to try with the VPN. Used a separate tvbox to run my test
