For TVP4 using VPN router method, did you guys get the 67 DNS using auto networking settings? Why am I the only one mentioning it?
Also, if you don't see any apps pop up in the App store, go to App Store, Admin, then Update, you should be able to see 3 apps pop up ready for update. That was how I updated my 3 apps mentioned earlier in this thread.
I am not sure if you can update apps. I just used the 23 apps for 5.060. My parents only watch the VOD from it. As long as it works and I don't have to go out to buy the htv3, i am good. If you want to go the router way, you can get a used dlink dir-615 from amazon for $10 shipped. I got 4 of those before they announced the shutdown for 1-3. That router is cheaper and easy to use and setup with vpn.

you can use side load this app to backup all the apps from TVP4

Nice didn't know you can add dns on the .opvn config. Should post a screen shot where you put that line for others.

hey orca, the ip address doesnt need to be the same right?
say the 2nd ip router is 192.168.3.1, the manual ip is 192.168.3.x, and gateway is 192.168.3.1. is that good?

i upgraded the firmware. I did that back in october/november can't remember. I never had a issue until today. Did they decide to ban all 5.06 fw devices?

Yes, 1st router to U.S server with IP address (192.168.1.xx), 2nd router to HK server with IP address (192.168.3.xx). TVPad4 connect to 2nd router IP and gateway will need to be 192.168.3.xx) and DNS set at 49xx. I was able to see TVPad store with these setup a few days ago. However, as of yesterday TVPad store is no longer available but still able to view HK live, VOD and drama. I do not know or understand why TVPad store went away.

Attention purevpn members,
I found that the server host names have changed from purevpn.net to pointtoserver.com. today! You have to reenter the host ip address on 2nd router. After new ip address everything went back to great videos.
