Based on this court document the TVPad parent company had made quite a profit from selling TVPad 1-3 over the last 3/4 years. - http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/sites/default/files/custom/Documents/ESQ/TVPad_Korea_ruling.pdf
They are obviously looking for another payday from the TVPad upgrade sales. Although I have a theory why they are doing this...
I have been using this service since TVPad 1 came out and had purchase multiple units throughout the years. I'm sure I'm not the only one that had done so as well. I think a lot of us had purchased this device because of the promise of "free lifetime TV"...
The way they duped and treating their old customers is not right and we (as a TVPad user need speak up and tell their upper management).
I have drafted a rough email detailing as such.
Translation:
For those who can write Chinese, please do modify and correct whatever needed is in my draft. I am hoping we could gather enough legacy TVPad users and blast their mailbox at once.
I understand that it probably won't do much but it is better than nothing.
So please tell you friends and family that also have TVPad to join this and get our deserved service back!

The calculation further assumes 81,217 TVPad units sold based on the number of unique IP addresses identified by the experts
networking report.

If TVpad pulls the plug on version 1-3 and only support TVpad 4,
what's going to happen when TVpad 5 comes out?

Hi Mr.Padman
Please made a E-mail link to Tvpad to let everybody can sign complain and attach the protest letter
I don't mind TVpad to change its business model like monthly fee based (e.g US$5 a month) with free h/w in the future. If they close the the business the viewers just suffer one month fee. No way I can trust TVpad with upfront purchase.
I have a TVpad 3 and I won't upgrade to 4 with a fee. Period
It's time to look for alternative or just VPN to Hong Kong to watch TVB at its site.

Hmmmm sounds like that fruit company.
And to DISK NETWORK / TVB - thinking about - with all old folks in China town around the world, Chinese channels are their daily holding on and keeping their life more colorful. With monthly service, how they going to pay when they don't have job or unable to work. Instead of doing charity thing to make you look good. Why don't you have free program for elderly around the world? Thanks for reading.
And more -
TVB - the more you calling for "COPY RIGHT" and more cost in service, that mean encourage more people use "COPIED ONE".
