I'm using TVPAD3 VPN L2TP with the 49 DNS, I can watch the on-going TVB on demand shows okay, but seems like when I click the liveTV apps then the whole TVPAD freezes and I can't do anything but to power cycle it. Anyone else experience this? What's the problem?

I did not have that problem as your described, but my is TVpad 4.
I assume that you are using two routers method configuration. Have you tried "auto" DNS in your TVpad 3?

I don't remember if I tried to access the video contents in auto I will try again. When I plugged in the Vpn router, my tvpad was in manual DNS. The tvpad didn't detect the router's connection and showed a red ! On the wired connection symbol. I confirmed with my laptop the router was working with a HK server DNS. I had to change the tvpad to auto DNS and then back to manual for it to work.
Just tried setting DNS to auto, it acquired 8.8.8.8 and I don't get error code but can't watch live or VOD
Hi All, after I changed the most recent DNS and unplug/plug, my device gives me this message "????????????????? The little man looking icon has a red cross. I have TVPAD 4, with 5.06 version. Does anyone have similar issue? Any solution to it? Thanks in advance.
That means you have tried to access the TVPad sever with a DNS not intended for the US. Just unplug the TVPad and reconnect the power will solve the problem. In the mean time, use VueTV. VueTV now includes some replays for Chinese TV channels and archives of old TV shows and movies. I don't see much difference between VueTV and a working TVPad4 unless you are interested in the Taiwanese TV.
If you are restricted on TVP4 fw 5.06 to start apps on the desktop,
unplug ethernet cable. Insert USB drive that have your backup files(downloaded from the TVP4 firmware and apps thread) and restart tvp4 then once on desktop move cursor into tvpad store and stay in there. Replug ethernet cable and wait in the store for icons to pop up moving cursor to different category boxes may help to connect faster. Once the icons in the store have popped up, click on the the app that you like to load or use a file manager like "little white" file manager to load the USB app that you like like YueTV or HKMacau channels. Stay in store to enjoy your apps. DNS maye 49.. or 183.. or 123..
I am from Toronto, Canada... I was wondering if anyone still have M120, because I am currently trying to update the DNS and I cannot get the DNS that will allow me watch live TVB channels.. =[

Thanks!
They want your TVPad2 MAC address to get the offer. Probably will block your TVPAD is you let them.

This is for which versions of tvpad?

Insert USB drive that have your backup files(downloaded from the TVP4 firmware and apps thread) and restart tvp4 then once on desktop move cursor into tvpad store and stay in there.
