Subject: If we pay for privateinternetaccess.com provider for about $5 usd a month, is it going to to work for tvpad3.
Hello
I have tvpad3, model m358_4100, version Gvos4.18, and it seems changing the dns to auto and 49.213.10.163 does not work anymore. So my question is if I have privateinternetaccess.com provider for about $5 a month, is the tvpad3 going to work? I am thinking how it works is because it cannot creat a direct connection from US to Hong Kong, it has to go to privateinternetaccess.com website, and from there connect to the hong kong server. Is it going to work?? Please let me and all the tvpad users know?? Thank you.

I haven't heard a solid confirmation that TVPad3 isn't working. So the VPN route should work for you.

Subject: Do you have instructions for PPTP VPN? the instructions you gave was only L2TP
I signed up for privateinternetaccess.com and based on my router, netgear nighthawk r7000, it only supports PPTP and not L2TP. Do you have instructions for the PPTP?
It should just be the same thing. Select PPTP and fill in the server details like you would for L2TP.

Subject: VPN does not work on TVpad3.
Upgraded the router firmware to a univeral graphic interface called "dd-wrt" . Enabled pptp client, filled in server ip hk.privateinternetaccess.com, and username and password provided by www.privateinternetaccess.com subscribed to $7 a month. Still no work. Can you tell me one single thing that I am missing.
Have you try connecting a computer onto the VPN router and see if the connection is actually working ?

On my router, I have 2 router setup. 1) One is the normal lan to wan. 2) The other one is the vpn client. How does the tvpad know it is connecting to the first option or the second option?
You are suppose to connect the tvpad to the vpn router

Did you follow padman's Youtube? http://tvpadtalk.com/1/1473/_subject_
Vpn works on my window 7 computer, NOT TVPAD. To get it working on my window 7 computer, I just edit my network connection settings attached here. https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/client-support/windows7-pptp
Please help me and everyone else.
