TVPAD fans, please help...my mother is driving me crazy without the TVPAD show for her to watch.

My location is CHICAGO and running Xfinity cable network....I am not sure they might be the problem that bloking 49.213.10.163.

My TVpad I believed is version 2. M121S, tvpad version is 3.26, model M121S_3311_G10S2. I have tried the 146.0.227.36 and 49.213.10.163. I have tried unplug all cables and reinsert, restart........and my "figure" is still not turning green (active). I was told my TVpad has to upgrade to the latest 3.93 version, is that true...? Any way I can find out how to upgrade my TVPAD...? I don't think my TVpad had ever need any update after 3.26.

Is there anything that I was missing..? So far, the figure is still not active (grey in color), Network testing and everything are PASSING without error but it keep saying "Account not there" = "?????"

I just fixed my mother-in-law's TVpad4 in California. Overall, I found out that DNS 49.213.10.163 works on all applications including all TVB live streaming and playbacks, however it is not reliable, it may breakdown after a while or slow to load the playbacks. I turned on the vpn on the box and everything is back to normal.

Some posters mentioned they could not find the HK TV apps in app store. It is a bit strange, because I fixed two TVPad 4 last night and I have no trouble seeing those apps in the app store. I think sometime it depends on the speed of the user's internet, the apps icon in the app store are slow to show up if the internet speed is slow.

I think vpn is the only and the best way for us in the states using TVpad 4

M121S and M121 are really tvpad1. I have both. The VPN route works for the M121S at least. I'll find out about the other one this weekend. Figure out how much it's worth to you and whether one of the VPN services falls within that price range. You'll have to do some router config that's better explained in other threads. Good luck.

The other important question is how long tvpad1 will work for, even with VPN. I hope more than a few months.

Don't have a tvpad m121s but basically before you change the DNS, in the same spot you see Auto, click on it and write all the info down except for the DNS, then change to manual and then put the same info you wrote down and use the DNS provided.

You have a tvpad1, the 2nd model of the tvpad1 as a tvpad2 has 3.70/3.80 and 3.94 firmware. There is no 3.93 version either. Apparently, your tvpad didn't authenticate with the servers.

On TVPad 4, any ideas why the message 'Region not support' starts to appear after updating the apps in 5.06 VPN 49?

If you were in the US, you shoud not upgrade the firmware to 5.06, which would give you the "Region not support" message. Revert the box to factory setting may set your box back to the older version of firmware and erase all your installed apps. Some of the posters said they could not find the old HK TV apps in app store but I never encounter that problem. So you may want to do a backup first then downgrade.

Thanks ALMIGHTY1............I found your respond very interesting, are you saying, I should do the Auto Config, then write down the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway..........and then switch to manual, and retype IP address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway (even thought they are exactly the same but I have to manually retype the same numbers) then add the 49.xxx DNS on it...?

I will give that a try........but I just find it interesting if the RETYPING is the reason why my M121S does not work before.

    Thanks..........
