My TVPad4, firmware v5.054, after the outage this afternoon, ran into this problem:
I came home at around 8:00pm, wife complained it was frozen while watching a TVB drama using YueTV
I cold booted the device, and the TVPad ran for a little while and then performed device restore by itself.
All apps wiped out (naturally). I then re-installed the 23 apps.
However, I tried to install the other apps via USB (e.g. Shafa, OpenVPN, TV Manager)
BatchInstall saw the apps, but none of them can be installed. (I have installed and re-installed them prior to this incident). BatchInstall will try to install them, but installation will eventually fail.
Did anybody experience something similar to this? If you have, what is the remedy?
Hi, I have a question about tvpad m121s. right now the icon on the lower right corner is not green. i know it's suppose to be green in order for the tvpad to work. the question is, if i setup VPN, will it bring back the green man icon?

Oh I did. there is 899M left.
I finally figured out what the problem was.
I had 2 batchinstall.banana. I must have picked the one that is either broken or corrupted.
Took the version that came with 36TV.apk, and that version worked.
I was able to use that version to install all 3rd party apps.
Once I installed shafa app, I was then able to install the few essential files from shafa market.
Thanks a lot for your help.

It is 1.25. My 1.27 is working again since last night.
Before I was using a DLINK DIR-655 as my router and my TVPAD4 didnt work, today I bought a new router NETGEAR and now everything works fine.I dont know if Dlink was blocking my connection can someone explain ?
Any other follow up regarding the outage? I am interested in watching 516 Taiwan TV channels. It doesn't matther what DNS I tried, the app no longer works. I am in California, US.
I have two friends who never powered off his tvpad3 with the original auto settings and they keep on working with no issues at all. And another tvpad1, 49 dns installed on about 11/26, never powered off, still working no problem. None of these are using vpn. The moral of these stories is that DON'T power off your tvpad once working.
