I have the exact same software. Not working since Nov 1st. Only Live stream is working with DNS 4.2.2.2
Please let me know which DNS I can use, and do we need to change other IP mask or Gateway address.
Seems like the unlock service from eBay is installing a VPN gate connection.
I think the China crakdown is for legitimate services like Tencent and YouKu in China. For proprietary pirate service like TVPad, they wouldn't bother to crack down, they will simply shoot the owner when they want to.

@BennyLam,
Funny that I just sent the seller on eBay requesting more info.
Speaking of VPNgate, did anyone try to use South Korean servers to bypass the region lock? I looked for Chinese servers, but they are far and few, and generally very slow.

I also use the Korean server, I think they and/or Japan, have the fastest internet on the planet.
I am connecting to the server 24/7 via the router, I wonder how soon they will kick me out. It has been a day and a half now, still going strong.

i had same issue when i used the tvpad in my house and then took it to another house and doesnt work, it is because the initial ip settings at the original router stays and sometimes doesnt match with your router. you must reset the tvpad and then reboot it to your house so the ip settings work there. put the dns 49.213.10.163 and the you will see the tvpad store up. go to another thread in this forum to reinstall the apps in then tvpad, save you lots of time.
I have just switched back from TVPAD 4 to my TVPAD3 to see whether my previous configuration is still working. My TV PAD 3 still does not have any issues on watching all H.K shows. As I indicated before, if you have TVPAD 3, follow my process indicated on my previous comment, you will be able to watch ????, ????, H.K news....etc. I am at Houston Texas. I am using DNS:49.213.10.163. But on TVPAD 4, my process can only watch real time H.K streaming, all saved previous days H.K shows and all the American TV shows but not the H.K Drama and Chinese movies. If I want to watch all the Cantonese Drama, I will have to either switch back to my TVPAD 3 or watch it on the real time streaming or the drama shows that was saved for that particular week on my TV PAD4.
I have TVPad4 vers. 5.054 using DNS 49.213.10.163, located in NY.
When trying to watch cantonese dramas/shows on ??????, a blue popup box comes up "??????????" in english would be "your region does not have access" while the video is faded out and still playing in the background. If clicked on OK, the video closes. Any solution to this?

Go to www.whatismyip.com to check if you have a Canadian IP.
